Hermitage Residential Home - Update
The £1 million plus development of The Hermitage Residential Home on Holly Road, Uttoxeter has started with workmen moving on site this week.
Local company M J Barrett Developments won the contract to carry out the substantial work, working with the chosen architect Hulme Upright of Festival Park, Stoke-on-Trent.
The Hermitage Residential Home for Ladies is a long established charitable organisation. A spokesman said "We are so delighted M J Barrett has accepted this venture. It is a company with great credentials and we look forward to working with it over the coming months".
"The development will add 24 new en-suite bedrooms each having digital TV and internet access points and the surrounding landscape gardens will provide pleasant and tranquil areas for the residents to enjoy".
Malcolm Barrett, group chairman, said : "We are delighted to have been selected to play a significant role in this construction and look forward to delivering this key infrastructure project, not only for The Hermitage, but for Uttoxeter as a whole".
"The Hermitage plays an important role in providing residential care to the ladies of Uttoxeter and this development will enhance that appeal".
